What this site is
CastleClash Builds is a free reference for Castle Clash hero builds. For each of the game's heroes it shows what top players equip in every slot (talent, insignia, square insignia, enchantment, trait and pet skill) along with the hero's stats and skill. On top of that raw data, we calculate how settled each slot is, how the hero's stats compare with its class, and which other heroes are built the same way.
We started it because the official in-game numbers are hard to compare across heroes, and most build guides online are opinion pieces that go out of date quickly. The goal is to make the data readable and to explain what it means.
Who runs it
CastleClash Builds is built and maintained by Ahammed Nafih, a software developer and former Castle Clash player. I write the data pipeline and the analysis, and I write the guides on the blog. The guides are based on IGG's official skill descriptions and the top-player data described below, and each one says where its numbers come from. Corrections are always welcome at our contact page.
Methodology
Source data. Hero base stats, skill descriptions and item effects come from IGG's official Castle Clash hero data. That data also reports, for each hero, what share of top players use each talent, insignia, enchantment, trait and pet skill. We re-sync it periodically, so brand-new heroes appear after the next sync.
Pick rates are not win rates. A pick rate tells you what top players choose, which also reflects what they own and what's become habit. We present it as "what experienced players have settled on," not as proof that an option is strongest.
Consensus ratings. Each slot on a hero page is rated by its top option's pick rate: near-universal (50%+), clear favourite (30–50%), contested (15–30%) or no consensus (under 15%). The thresholds come from the spread of the data: the median hero's top talent is picked about 25% of the time.
Stat ranks. We rank each hero's base ATK, HP, growth per level, attack interval (lower is faster) and move speed against its own class (Offensive, Defensive, Crowd Control, Support or Multiclass) and against every hero in the database.
Top users. For each item, we sort every hero that uses it by pick rate. If a hero is in the top five of that list (and at least six heroes use the item), we list the item under "Where this hero is a top user."
Similar builds. Two heroes' build overlap is the sum, across all six slots, of the smaller of their two pick rates for every option they share. 0 means nothing in common and 600 would mean identical builds. We also list heroes that share the same top talent and top insignia.
Languages. The hero database is available in 15 languages using IGG's own translations of hero, skill and item names. Guides and analysis are written in English.
